The original house is an attractive period cottage with heaps of character. The owners wished to extend their living space to the rear of the property, to create a light-filled modern kitchen extension.

The clients chose some aluminium bifold doors, which can be folded right back in the summer to create an indoor/outdoor room.

Externally, paving and natural stone steps complete the seamless link with the outdoors.

The extension was finished with a zinc roof, which nestles in beautifully with the original house.

New oak flooring and skirting was installed throughout the extension.

A new kitchen was installed, complete with a trapezium shaped island to mirror the shape of the new footprint.
