Our restoration team have recently completed work on Cordilleras House, a beautiful and prominent Grade II Listed property in the market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire.

The house has been used for many years as a private home, but when Gez and Liz Cornish bought it earlier this year, they decided to fulfil their dream of running a B&B. Staley Stonework project managed the renovation, which included partitioning rooms and installing new bathrooms whilst ensuring compliance with listed building and planning regulations.

The property, which will have three ensuite letting rooms, is due to open at the end of the month.

Gez Cornish commented "We have been really impressed by the quality of the work done for us by Staley Stonework. Jonny Staley engaged fully with the task from the very outset and offered a number of very creative ways to improve upon our initial ideas; he has given us the benefit of his own wide experience of jobs like ours, but has never sought to impose anything upon us. His team and the sub contractors he has brought in have all worked to a high standard and have been a delight to have around the house- friendly and courteous at all times. There has always been a willingness to take on extra tasks or modify plans as the work has progressed and new ideas have arisen; flexibility and creativity have been apparent throughout the work.

"Not only has Staley Stonework delivered first class finished work but Jonny has also offered invaluable support in guiding us through the planning procedures as we needed to secure permission for change of use and ensure that all works comply with conservation criteria and building control regulations. Using Staley Stonework to manage our project, we have achieved a lot in a short space of time, and we are now looking forward to welcoming our first guests to Cordilleras House. "
