We were asked by a client to completely overhaul this beautiful period property which once acted as the reading room for the village.

When the owners bought the house it was clear that it had potential, but also that it required extensive work to bring it up to its current standard.  The work entailed removing walls and opening up doorways, knocking two rooms into one to create an impressive master suite, raising ceilings and installing new floors. In addition, the electrics and plumbing were overhauled throughout and  underfloor heating was installed.

A wall was removed to enlarge the kitchen and crete a more workable space.  Our joiners installed a fabulous bespoke oak kitchen, along with separate utility area, which was then handpainted in Little Greene colours.

Granite and iroko worktops were fitted and limestone tiles were laid on the floor.

In the dining room, reclaimed parquet flooring was carefully laid, to stunning effect.

And upstairs, new bathrooms were installed to complete the renovation.
